Future Library to open in 2003
The West Main Project Committee plans on opening a new state of the art library, museum and archives in beautiful Uvalde, Texas. This will be a facility like Southwest Texas has never seen before.
All proceeds from the past three on-line auctions and A.E.I.O.U. ( An Extravaganza In Old Uvalde) have helped tremedously the West Main Project sponsored by the Uvalde Historical Commision, Inc. and El Progreso Memorial Library, both 501c(3) non-profit corporations. To date, over
$4.15 million has been donated to the $5.6 million project.
